Company

We're building the quiet system behind good coaching.

Helping does the remembering, the logging, and the following-up, so the coach's day can belong to coaching.

Why we're building this

The work of following up should belong to a system, not the coach.

Most coaches spend the first hour of every day the same way: scrolling through group chats, nudging the clients who went quiet, and copying yes-or-no answers into a spreadsheet. It is the unglamorous half of the job, and it is the half that quietly burns people out.

We did not think the answer was another app. Clients already have too many. So we built Helping to do the remembering instead: send the check-in at the right time, in the right place, log the reply, and quietly follow up with whoever has gone quiet.

The coach stays the voice the client hears. Every message carries the coach's name and words, never ours. Clients never download a thing, never create an account, and never see the word "Helping" in a message.

Helping is early and small — a solo founder, working part-time, building in the open. We treat that as a feature as much as a limitation: the people building it are close to the people using it, and the roadmap is shaped by what coaches actually ask for.

What we believe

Four principles we won't trade away.

They shape every decision, from what we build to how we price it.

Reliability over features
A check-in that arrives late, or not at all, is worse than no check-in. We treat on-time delivery as the one metric that has to be right before anything else gets our attention.
Your clients stay in their inbox, not our app
Nothing to download, nothing to log into, nothing to learn. The only web page a client ever sees is an optional progress link, and it expires in a day.
Your voice, not ours
Messages carry your name and your words. Helping is the stage; you are the performer. Clients never see our brand in a check-in.
Privacy by default, self-hosted
Helping runs on infrastructure we control, not a shared cloud. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, phone numbers are encrypted at field level, and personal data is anonymised 30 days after a client leaves.

How we're different

Messaging-first, self-hosted, and honestly priced.

Helping is messaging-first and self-hosted, which is an uncommon combination. Most coaching software asks your clients to install an app and learn an interface; we ask them to reply to a text. Most run on shared cloud infrastructure; we run our own, because the coaches we talk to take data privacy seriously and want to know exactly where their clients' information lives.

The pricing is honest, too. There is a free plan for your first client, a 14-day trial with no card, and a founding lifetime deal — $99 once, for the first 200 coaches — offered because early support deserves to be rewarded rather than locked into a subscription.
